I do seem to remember you getting fired. (also MAGA screams hate, the people that support MAGA and Trump have a hate like I have never seen from anyone. And on trump being racist... he is he has told people to go back to their own country just for trying to better the country (which is what the were elected to do) and yes that is racist. Trump is homophobic, racist, sexist, and many others, and he is the wrong person to be . running this country.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07979983356219007064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6164358886323659474.post-4346911761124642632019-03-30T06:08:17.866-07:002019-03-30T06:08:17.866-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14876500962830165587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6164358886323659474.post-83598729604549538842019-03-05T20:12:41.643-08:002019-03-05T20:12:41.643-08:00The fact that so many Republicans simply ignore hi...The fact that so many Republicans simply ignore his words and dismiss them as "he doesn't care about what he says" is the greatest evidence of their selective blindness. Trump's administration has been unquestionably the most corrupt since Nixon's, and his "achievements" amount to ballooning the deficit with spend-happy tax cuts, withdrawing from one real, verifiable nuclear deal to tweet about one that simply hasn't happened, and failing to actually reform a healthcare system that his party spent the last six years bashing. He has no real, significant achievements to his name, so all that is left to judge his administration by is his words and his platform.

If a person supports Donald Trump, it isn't first support for MAGA, then Trump - it's support for Donald Trump, then MAGA. The act of wearing a MAGA hat indicates the wearer supports a man with racist, fascist tendencies. Liberals do distinguish: either the wearer is racist or authoritarian and supports him, or the wearer is not paying attention and somehow believes that his fluffed-up achievements are enough to outweigh the racism and rampant corruption that have so far characterized his administration. Both of these opinions are rightly mocked.

Most Americans believe in American greatness; only some feel the need to write "again."Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14835876959883266196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6164358886323659474.post-17765728625961847772019-02-17T07:25:25.534-08:002019-02-17T07:25:25.534-08:00You say that wearing a MAGA hat does not make you ...You say that wearing a MAGA hat does not make you a racist, but doesn't supporting a racist make you a racist? You say that the left makes it seem like everyone who supports Trump is a white supremacist, just because some of his supporters are. Isn't that the same as how the right makes all immigrants out to be dangerous criminals, when only some of them are? Isn't that the same as when the right thinks of all Muslims as terrorists? You can say that this stereotyping is only done to protect the country from threats, but I would argue that white supremacists are just as much of a threat to our nation. By hypocritically accusing the other party of things that your party does an equal amount, we just become more divided and make less progress as a country.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13423505838474643148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6164358886323659474.post-23708949775178394882019-01-26T18:29:59.429-08:002019-01-26T18:29:59.429-08:00Mans lemme buy everythingMans lemme buy everythingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6164358886323659474.post-83870560192050296372019-01-23T09:56:39.526-08:002019-01-23T09:56:39.526-08:00Very Nice article dad. This is one area where my conservative politics and my Christian world view don't always mesh. Besides that, there are too many complications to make it a simple matter.
For example, even your first scenario can be broken down further. What about those in category one who are now married to a legal alien or citizen and have had children here. Extrinsic motivation I am not a...Interesting stuff. Extrinsic motivation I am not a big fan of at all !!

So, what do I do to motivate?
The TEN RULES of Motivation I have made up are inspired by the author Richard Lovoie.

#1. Play - Have fun, enjoy, enthuse and bring energy to the room.
"No-one ever achieved anything without enthusiasm" Emerson

#2. Personal - School is about life, not about school !! School should link back to life.

· Indulge your students and listen to their stories.
· Indulge yourself - Share your stories with them... if it benefits them?
Link back what they/you said to your lesson and what you're talking about.

#3. Provoke - This is not agressive !! Ask questions about life, ask questions about the topic - it gets them to think... It's powerful when they get to see things through their own mind !
Giles Ennis - the great philosopher (and very cool teacher !!) from Monks Dyke school in Lincolnshire said
"I don't want students to answer my questions - I want them to question my answers"

Yes, he just wants them to THINK... !! This is great.

#4. Praise - Catch People Doing Things Right. This IS the single biggest thing that does not happen in British industry today !!!
Be focused on praise BUT be specific and sincere. The praise should be focused on effort and improvement - this is always effective. We all need to feel good enough.

#5. Power - Let your students determine some of the agenda or make some of the rules. It gets them to feel like they're 'in charge' without you losing control.
Q. We've got these three things to do now, where do you want to start?
Q. This bit's boring and this bit's more fun, what would you like to do first?
Q. How should we best complete this exercise?
It gives them ownership and takes a few moments for some of them to get used to BUT, it's harmless, takes the pressure off you and is very effective.

#6. Projects - These are very powerful mechanisms for connecting different skills and knowledge and harnessing natural curiosity. Some of my fondest memories at school are of me doing projects in Mrs Jones's class.

#7. Positive People - This gets them to learn quickly how to behave in a positive manner. YOU being positive makes them be positive - you know this is true.

#8. Prizes - Rewards we already mentioned can be powerful when they are unannounced and not too familiar. The prize may be as innocuous or humorous as you like.

#9. Prestige - All children need to feel important, and some more than others, so prestige and recognition are fundamental. Consistent encouragement and opportunities to showcase these talents are important.

#10. Principled - Students love to know that they are being treated fairly. They have a respect for laws and principles if they are adhered to. They like to know what's in store if they do well and if they don't. When rules and principles get messed around - they become demotivated.

I hope you found something here useful, I help students get focused in their life AND get better exam results www.thebigpicture.eu.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15102930363861613162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6164358886323659474.post-28639296293055662142009-03-26T09:03:00.000-07:002009-03-26T09:03:00.000-07:00Stephen, Good thoughts on both this post and t...Stephen,
Good thoughts on both this post and the one following.
Don't many Jews believe that "eternal life" is found in one's descendants? However, I would add that greed cannot drive capitalism. The reason one business gets wealthy over another is because that busness meets the needs of the most people the best.
